Clerk: Pam McMorran
76 Main Street, Newtown
Linford, Leicester LE6 0AD

Here are some recently asked questions

Our Street Light is still out These are the responsibility of Leicestershire Highways and we continue to report all lights we are notified of. The current Highways response is not always very fast.

The Bollard on the Main Street is still down The Clerk reports the damage to Highways as soon as she is informed and they usually inspect within a couple of days. They do not always consider the repair as high priority.

Can I attend the Parish Council meeting without informing anyone I am coming. Yes you can but it is helpful to advise the Clerk in advance so that she can have the paperwork necessary to deal with your query to hand. It is also possible to take your matter towards the beginning of the meeting should you not wish to sit through the entire meeting.

I have a new neighbour how can I get them a Welcome Pack We will be happy to send them one either directly or by their village magazine delivery person if you let us have their name and address.

What is the Council doing about the parking problems - Very difficult to deal with. Virtually every resident in the village is badly affected. We are in discussions with the Senior Management of Highways at County Hall and our County Councillor Deborah Taylor but what ever is done will affect somewhere else in the village. The whole village must be dealt with at the same time.
